The Young Child . . . a time of wonder.

  • Four children with red and black hair examining something on a small round concrete structure surrounded by grass outdoors.

The Chickadees: Five to Seven Year Olds

In the tradition of Charlotte Mason, the early years at Growing Roots are a time of wonder. Children listen to stories, learn poetry, explore nature, gain number sense, experience beautiful art, and begin to read. Developing the habits of attention, imagination, good attitude, self-control, responsibility, quality work, courage, and service, they become established and excited learners.
